We know turkey is the prom queen of the Thanksgiving dinner, well now lets' talk about the 1st runner-up--that's right ham.
There's some people that just don't like turkey...."Say it ain't so!!!!'' I know, but its ok; eat whatcha' want.
"Happy Family Ham" is a must for your big day. Whether you prefer one over the other, or like me, like to have a little variety on the table, you won't be disappointed. This easy, quick recipe will have your guests thinking you slaved all day. From the sweet, sticky glaze to the slightly salty meat, it'll make everyone happy. You can even make this on the grill if you wish.

Serves 4-6
Ingredients:
2-ham steaks
4-TBSP butter
½-tsp black pepper
Glaze:
½ -cup apple cider or apple juice
2-TBSP butter
¼-cup pineapple jam
½-tsp ground mustard
½-tsp ground ginger
1-TBSP molasses
1-TBSP bourbon (optional)
Juice from ½ and orange.
Directions:
· Preheat oven to 350, spray a baking dish.
· Place the ham steaks in pan and dot the butter around on top of ham, sprinkle with pepper, cover and bake for 30 mins.
· In a sauce pan place all the glaze ingredients and bring to boil and cook for 15 mins.
· Remove ham and spread glaze over top and leave uncovered and return to oven and bake until bubbly, it will take about 20-25 mins.
Tips: You can use any jam you like and this also works good for a whole ham, and its real good on country ham.
