When life gives you snow, you make "Snow Cream". Now I can just hear people saying, Oh Lawdy you can't do that anymore. Well I'm here to tell ya, you sure can. Most people thinks snow is dirty, but it ain't as long as you don't use the yellow snow. I can remember mom and granny making snow cream. It was so goooood!!!!! Back when I was a child we had snow all winter long, not like we have these days. When it snowed when I was young honey it lasted a looooong time. So snow cream was a treat we had a lot. Making it now is a real treat as we hardly ever have enough snow at one time to make it. I took advantage with the recent snow, that dropped us 6 inches. Try it ifin you ever get a chance you will be like a child again. Just remember don't use the Yellow Snow!!!!!

My mom used to make snow taffy for us. We would get a fresh bowl of snow, and she would pour Michigan pure maple syrup on it until the 'candy' got chewy. It was such a delicious treat. Never had snow cream!
